A scooter is the simplest option: automatic, storage under the seat, easy to ride to the beach and cafés. Prices start from 200 THB a day for the Yamaha Fino 125; the Honda Click, PCX, ADV 160 and Yamaha NMAX are from 500 THB. For riding two-up and in the hills there are maxi-scooters: Honda ADV 350, Forza 350 and Yamaha XMAX 300, from 1,000 THB.
Motorcycles up to 400 cc are for riders who already know a manual bike and want more fun on the road: Yamaha XSR 155, MT-03, Honda Rebel 300, Kawasaki Ninja 400, Z400. From 800 THB a day.
Motorcycles over 400 cc are for experienced riders: Honda CB500F, CBR500R, Rebel 500, Kawasaki Vulcan S 650, Yamaha MT-07, Harley-Davidson S 1250. From 1,500 THB a day.
The price includes a clean bike with fuel, a full-face helmet for the rider, a phone holder, insurance and an official rental agreement. Bring your passport and a deposit; the amount depends on the bike. Delivery to your hotel or villa on Samui is free.
